A Truly Unique Program

​​Our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program includes residential, transitional living, intensive outpatient, aftercare, and prevention services. The menu of products includes screenings, assessments, group and individual counseling sessions, as well as aftercare supportive services.
The SUD program is unique in that it provides comprehensive treatment for clients who suffer from substance use as well as process addictions. The SUD program offers a full menu of services to return substance use disorder clients to healthy living. In addition, the treatment model includes services related to employment finances, health care, family wellness, and/or educational issues that are available to clients, as they need them.
 

Bristlecone Admissions

​​Bristlecone’s treatment philosophy assures that the unique needs of each client are addressed through individualized care. Experience teaches us that each client is different in what brings them to our agency. Our staff collaborates with each client to develop the treatment plan best suited to meet their needs. We strive to provide affordable and accessible treatment and work closely with clients to find appropriate grants and/or a payment plan that fits every budget.

Bristlecone GATE Program

Bristlecone Problem Gambling Center’s (BPGC) GATE Program is a full spectrum gambling addiction treatment center offering both in-patient and outpatient services as well as a robust aftercare program and family treatment. Our Gambling Addiction Treatment and Education (GATE) Program is one of the only in-patient gambling addiction treatment centers in the western United States. 

Counseling
​The treatment programs at Bristlecone are structured to provide clients guidance but are flexible enough to take into account the needs of the individual. Treatment is evidenced based and our staff keeps abreast of the latest developments in treatment. Through motivational interviewing, skills training, and varied cognitive behavioral therapies, clients are provided the tools to make permanent change and take control of their substance use. The program incorporates both guided and self-directed learning experiences.

Screening, Assessment and Evaluation


Screening:
In our effort to provide precise, effective, and individualized treatment, Bristlecone Recovery Center uses proven methods and the most current and effective screenings to determine if our program is appropriate for the client.

Comprehensive Gambling Assessment:
Clients seeking treatment for gambling addiction are required to undergo a separate gambling assessment. Our gambling counselors will walk the client through the Gambling Patient Placement Criteria to determine the level of care needed.

Substance Use Assessment:
Clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders are required to undergo a biopsychosocial assessment. This assessment takes into consideration each client’s cultural, personal, and professional backgrounds to individualize the most appropriate treatment.  Bristlecone uses ASAM guidelines to determine the least restrictive appropriate level of care for our clients.

​Comprehensive Evaluation:
Often times clients might present a pattern of anxiety, depression or other mental health challenges. Bristlecone’s certified practitioners follow a comprehensive review and evaluation process to determine how the interplay of these challenges impact a client’s recovery experience and work to develop an approach that addresses these concerns.
