Assessment Screening Services

Assessments are scheduled by appointment only.
Call (775) 954-1400 to schedule your assessment or screening. 
$100-150 Fee may be covered by insurance.

Assessment services are provided to referred individuals.  Our fees are based on the type of assessment(s) or screening provided. Through this process, our staff collects and interprets empirical and behavioral data to determine the presence of addictive behavior patterns. The assessment counselor then makes referrals to the appropriate level of treatment services, if warranted, and to community agencies as appropriate.

Admission Priority

Treatment admission prioritization for all programs must be conducted in the following order:

1. Pregnant IV drug users
2. Pregnant substance users
3. IV drug users (not pregnant)
4. Veterans (not included above)
5. All others

Information Needed for Admission

 When applying for admission, the following information will be required to complete the process:

• Verification of income: pay stub, bank statements, last tax documentation or proof of income from any agency or local service provider.
• Available dates for treatment
• Referral Source: name, phone and fax numbers, if available.
• Legal History: Due to our scope of practice, we request any reports describing the client’s legal history to determine appropriateness for treatment.
• Payment: Payments at time of Admittance (where applicable).
• Bristlecone will request that clients being admitted to transitional living make arrangements with the financial department. Housing fee may be higher depending on income level.

Fee for Treatment Services

Bristlecone offers a sliding fee scale. Upon admission to treatment, please meet with the Finance Department to determine your fee and/or eligibility for a grant. We offer several grants that may cover all or some aspects of treatment. 
Bring to your appointment:

• Proof of Income
• Identification (Driver's License)

• Proof of Nevada Residency (Utility Bill) 

Payment arrangements will be made for the remaining balances for treatment.
Some insurance companies cover part or all of the costs of treatment at Bristlecone Recovery Center. Please call the financial department for further information.

Medicare and Medicaid do NOT cover the cost of residential treatment. Outpatient services may be covered all or in part by insurance.
 
Bristlecone Family Resources now has the capability to accept Nevada Welfare Quest Card (Food Stamps), VISA and MasterCard to pay for food costs while in residential treatment.

Important Information

Bristlecone allows smoking of cigarettes only at a designated location outside of our facility. Smoking, vaping and any other form of tobacco use are prohibited within the facility or on any Bristlecone property. Tobacco, nicotine products and or paraphernalia (including vapes) may be confiscated while inside the facility and returned when leaving the building. Vapes are not to allowed in or out of the facility.

Upon admission, client’s property is inventoried. Please leave all valuables, and electronics at home. Cellphones are confiscated upon entry and may be used at designated times by permission from counselor. TL clients are allowed cellphones and certain electronic devices approved by staff. Bristlecone staff are not responsible for lost or stolen property.

Please bring personal hygiene products; however, alcohol must not be listed in the first 4 ingredients of the product. Alcohol-based mouthwash, hand sanitizing products are not allowed. Room deodorizers and or cologne/perfume are not allowed.​

Bring comfortable clothes and shoes. The laundry schedule allows clients to do laundry weekly.  Excessive amounts of clothing will not be allowed. You will be given limited storage space. There are limited donated items that may be available for clients entering without certain items.

Illegal and non-prescribed drugs and/or alcohol are not permitted on Bristlecone property. No weapons of any kind are allowed on Bristlecone property. Possession of these items on Bristlecone property is grounds for immediate discharge.
